Hi there!

My name is Marly. I am originally from the Netherlands, but that was a loooong long time ago. What? I said goodbye to the good old tulips and windmills?!

Well… yes.  Believe it or not, I am not the biggest fan of the climate portrayed in that photo. Cold and rain are not exactly my cup of tea.

Ha! Thought I would bother you with my whole life story? Don’t worry! I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone. 😉

Fact is, I got bitten by the travel bug very early in life, and I haven’t been able to shake my insatiable wanderlust ever since.

I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, when I was 19. I soon started traveling around South America, which only accelerated my appetite for adventure.

Somehow, I still managed to study – and graduate! – my way through a Master’s degree, but by then my “culturiosity” had already grown so strong that nothing else mattered. It was time to pack a backpack and go. “Hello world! Here I come!”

The result?
In the past 12 years I have traveled to more than 60 countries, lived and worked on 4 different continents, and written so many journals that I have probably gathered enough anecdotal resources to last me a lifetime.

I think it’s about time I share my passion and experiences with the world.
